Victoria Harbour Paving Works
Known as the “jewel in the crown” of Melbourne’s Docklands, Victoria Harbour is one of the largest and most prestigious waterfront developments being undertaken in Australia. With a direct connection to the Central Business District via Collins Street, Victoria Harbour is home to ANZ, NAB, Ericsson and Myer and over 800 residents with many more exciting developments to come. Victoria Harbour currently boasts the highest concentration of green buildings in Australia.
Myer opened its new $200 million National Support Office located in Melbourne Docklands in 2010. This building, on Collins Street, is the headquarters for Myer’s 65 department stores around Australia. BVN Architecture, the designers of the office, ensured that it would become a “precisely detailed building that [is] silky smooth and razor sharp in its language of minimalism, modernity and elegance”.
The Eigen Group has worked together with Lend Lease and VicUrban to complete the external paving works on Collins Street, specifically at the doorstep of Myer’s National Support Office. EigenStones has supplied and installed Chinese Bluestone Pavers for the project; Eigen Tactile has supplied and installed GraniTac TGSi for nearby pedestrian crossings. The project was completed successfully on July 2011.
